Got to use "No, it's a school night" for the first time in almost 3 months tonight.
I'm not sure if he would have been the savior we need, but the fact they didn't even look into other options is what I couldn't understand.
Silver lining is thankfully Texas and Houston still have 6 games left against each other but none of it matters if you cant go out and win your own games! You can't stay in contention when every road trip is just hoping you don't get swept. Figure it TF out!
The team really needs a manager with experience dealing with something like this that can help snap them out. Sadly, Dan had no manager experience before, and this could be one of the big drawbacks of that depending on how long this cold streak lasts.
Completely baffling how at the most important time of the season the team literally can't win a road game.
I'd like to blame this on Dan but with every part of the team failing to come through every game its tough. Then again you'd think that's also on the manager but with so many pieces/parts not doing their jobs its hard to pin on 1 guy.
Baseball season is too long. We've just hit September and they're holding a playoff spot yet I'm already clearly broken.
They care about left on left or right on right when its our own batting order but don't care when its the other teams best hitter. It just never makes sense.

Not a single pitcher outside of Woo can consistently get hitters out and its so damn frustrating.
I guess they can only win if they score 8-10 per game because the pitching staff is just hot garbage right now.
At some point you have to stop pitching Ferguson. He becomes the guy that only pitches when the game is out of hand because right now he can't pitch without giving up any runs.

Through 1 half this team looks a lot like last year. Inconsistent on both sides of the ball with flashes of great here and there. Also constantly having to overcome coaching decisions to succeed.
Game management is not a strength. That last drive by Colorado State is exactly why you need to use as much clock as possible.
All happened because Jedd called a timeout with 1:44 left before a 3rd and 7. Keep that clock running and even if you still turn it over next play there's not enough time for that drive they gave up. Still don't like his game management at all.
Botched snap out of a timeout that they shouldn't have even taken. Good stuff.
Giving up only 2 yards after that kick return certainly is nice.

30 minutes ago it looked like worst case scenario the Mariners would be 4 up in the wild card race after tonight with a chance to get to 5 up. Now they're down 5-0 and KC has come back from 4-0 down to take the lead in 9th at Chicago.
