100%, I think it's almost a given that there will be more Switch 2 Editions of games but my skepticism/worry goes to the free Switch 2 patches (obligatory, I really hope Xenoblade games get any sort of Switch 2 treatment)

I agree and also the speed of which it sold this much is a testament to how much Nintendo was preparing for this launch
imo the biggest factor is that a loooot of people have been wanting a better Switch for soooo long almost every Switch Pro/2 article/discourse always made its way around the gaming world
I did buy one partially due to the price maybe going up and it being potentially harder to find in-stock later (and also initally got 2 extras in case a preorder got dropped) but we also have to take into account we're part of the enthusiast crowd that was gonna buy it one way or the other

play times might be one thing, idk if it's different for Switch 1 to Switch 2 transfer but my play times didn't carry over from Switch to Switch OLED when I didn't do a system transfer
