I have close friends along the political spectrum and have voted that way, too. We have a choice between PM Carney or a PM Poilievre and the latter is dangerous for Canada. Iโll always ask PM Carney to do better if needed but wonโt take cheap shots. Diminishing this as โpartisanโ is unfair.

There's still a lot of "oh he'll fail to consolidate a full-blown authoritarian regime," as if that means the threat can be dismissed, let's just keep going like we'll get our turn back in power soon enough. But that's entirely contingent on what we do now. There's no guarantee it won't go that far.
