In case you are wondering, the backlog of asylum applications, at this point, in August 2023, was about 175,000. Far from "clearing it" by the end of that year, Jenrick resigned to pursue his leadership bid. The backlog left behind by the Tories eleven months later was about 225,000. ~AA

If youāre genuinely interested in what happened in a high profile criminal trial, watch it. Itās free. Or read local court reports of the evidence and the legal issues. Theyāre free too. If you donāt inform yourself, your opinion, Iām afraid, is worthless.
I have no idea whether a particular jury verdict is correct unless Iāve heard the same evidence and received the same written legal directions as the jurors who heard the trial. Anybody claiming to offer an informed take based on what theyāve seen on Twitter is best ignored.
