At the end of the day, perhaps the bad campaign advice didn't matter because the messenger truly does matter. Going forward, anyone not seen as authentic (ahem, Gavin) needs to step aside. From there, we need Dems seen as authentically wanting to shake up political and economic system.
In that interview, campaign said they tested core econ message vs responding to they/them ad & core message did better. Well, we tested core econ message vs. campaigning with Liz Cheney. Independents in MI & PA liked econ populism more than campaigning with Cheney, but Plouffe advised go w/ Cheney.
On @podsaveamerica.crooked.com, @dplouffe.bsky.social revealed he was giving horrible political advice. He said that more voters are conservative in swing states, so Harris had to trim her sails. That's based on demographic questions, not issue questions. Even "conservatives" like econ populism.
In this moment, voters want candidates who ooze authenticity when it comes to shaking up a broken economic and political system. Trump convinced people that was him. In the debate, when Harris was off script, there was not one economic clash. It wasn't in her gut & she felt like the establishment.
Sadly, @dplouffe.bsky.social is whitewashing a bad candidate and a bad campaign. Biden SHOULD have gotten out early, but NOT because people would like @kamalaharris.com better with 3 extra weeks. It’s because the Dem Party deserved a primary to pick the best candidate, as @amyklobuchar.com said.

That a not a case for it. We need to change voter perceptions of the party. Can an officer say that without committing blasphemy? If so, they can support a candidate that stands for fresh ideas and change in a primary the DNC has no control over. Open shut case.
I am honest about that. That's my explicit point. I said above that I'm sure most of Ken's proposals are common sense. The existing DNC bylaws (which David ran under) require neutrality in presidential race. That makes sense. Nobody is making the case for DNC officer neutrality in congress races.
That's where the dynamic you described happens. I don't see the conflict of interest in Hogg serving as a DNC officer and having involvement in congressional primaries. Do you happen to know if banning corporate PAC money is one of the reforms?

Fair question: What power does the DNC have over a primary? If none, not a conflict of interest. Why bar DNC officials from having an opinion on a primary and not bar them from being anti-choice?
