I know it's probably not possible because ballparks are built with the sun and directions in mind, but one thing I found on Wednesday night that I'd never discovered before is if Citi Field was turned just 90 degrees to the left upper deck fans would have an incredible view.

Both New York stadiums have employed the DJ 3000 to play every inane sound effect and song clip you can think of between every pitch. It's awful. I know this is an old man take.
The Citi Field crowd has a real "i work in finance" vibe to it. As many business casual outfits as Mets jerseys.

Yankees games are fun because of the crowd, especially in the Bleachers. But there is no animosity between these two teams. I am very much excited for Mets and Phillies fans to battle it out later this evening.

My Montreal Expos shirt is my go to neutral game shirt but I didn't think of the fact the nationals used to be the expos so maybe someone out here in the bleachers thinks I'm a nationals fan?

I didn't like any of the other options at the stand I was at so I panic bought lol (it's good though)

5) Awesome event, and quite honestly, in INSANE value for the ticket price given everything you get and how long you can be there watching sports.
4) I think what I really loved the most though was just the overall vibe *outside* of the stadiums. Such a cool place to walk around and all of the smaller side courts were just awesome to pop in and check out quick. I had no idea who I was watching, but it was fun.
3) I really started to appreciate it more when I got into the Moller-Paul match and was able to see it from a little closer, as my main court tickets were basically on the moon (still great).
2) It never really appealed to me on TV, but I think I had my "oh you gotta see hockey in person" moment with this to truly appreciate it. As I suspected, I was not really prepared for the speed and pace. TV does it no justice.
I wanted to be a psycho and stay for the entire late match, but I had to tap out. Tired. Big day tomorrow. I did see the end of the Moller-Paul match at Louis Armstrong, though. Some late night thoughts as I eat a Shake Shack burger in bed. 1) I've been sleeping on Tennis, man.

I think I might be more excited for the Open matches on Tuesday than I am for the baseball double-header on Wednesday. I think just because it's such a new experience and I don't really know what to expect. I anticipate not being prepared for how fast it is.

The virtual measurement is whatever. It's fine. But I miss the rush of waiting for the chain to come out and holding my breath to see if the team got it in a big moment. It still comes down to where the ball is spotted, which is arbitrary. And now we lost DRAMA.

I have a question for people that have attended the US Open before. Each day there are day sessions and night sessions for the Arthur Ashe stadium matches ... if you buy, say, the night session ... do you get into both the 7 pm match and the one that starts after that? Or are they separate tickets?

I just realized the Blue Jays are coming into town this week and outside of the Phillies they might be the fan base that brings the most fans into Pittsburgh. It is staggering how many they bring. I imagine it will be even more this week given how good they are this season.
David Bednar is going to be so good for the Yankees that Renegade is going to be associated with them and not the Steelers by the end of October.

There was not a single Cubs-White Sox doubleheader this season. I was going to do that one if there was. A total sham that there was not. A farce.
August 27, two weeks from today. Nationals vs. Yankees at 1 at Yankee Stadium. Phillies vs. Mets at 7 Citi Field. The only chance to do both in one day this season. I did this a year ago and it was amazing. Doing it again this year. Tickets purchased. Hotel booked. It's on.

Interesting. I wonder how much damage the six games against the Rockies and Nationals does to that opponents winning percentage. Because other than them they've got Boston, Toronto, Chicago (six games), Dodgers, Brewers and even the Reds all still remaining.
