I’ll tell you this. A favorite campus dining spot closed last semester, with almost no notice. It’s been replaced by a fully automated kiosk. The kids are pissed. Asking all the right questions about labor and human contact and sociality. Some of the kids are alright.

I could see select access to “safe” food and medicine also being used to encourage state-preferred behaviors (e.g. marriage, childbirth, snitching, enhanced voluntary surveillance, joining the military, working in certain sectors, clapping on the 1 and 3 etc.)

BREAKING: Starbucks Workers United is going on strike. Tomorrow unionized Starbucks workers are walking out in multiple key cities. And @sbworkersunited.org's rolling strike will grow in the coming days. 537 stores and 10,000+ workers are in the union and could potentially strike.
