Happy Labor Day. Today, we marked 1,049 days on strike against @post-gazette.com management who have been running the most lawless union-busting campaign in America. The longest active strikers in the country marched in Pittsburgh's Labor Day parade wearing our new Union Progress newshound shirts.
Last year on Labor Day Weekend, 10,000 UNITE HERE members were on strike at hotels across the country. By the end of the year, workers in 11 cities had gone on strike, ultimately winning new union contracts with affordable health care, big raises, and new workload protections.
