Several years ago I worked on a Halloween community project that ultimately went no where, but one of the map submissions was a tribute to the forest level from Demon's Crest. It had the music, and even a forest fire at the end. I could never.

That fireball is shot by additional enemies summoned by the boss. It does double damage, sits on the ground for several seconds, and is nearly the same colour as the background. With my eyesight, I genuinely cannot see it unless looking at a still image. I kept dying to a (to me) invisible attack.
No, I used Cheat Engine. If the game doesn't have accessibility features, I'll make my own.

Everything deals double damage, you fight multiple flying enemies at once, and the boss can destroy every floor tile over lava. Congrats @teamcherry.bsky.social you ruined it.

Too much to fit in 300 characters, but yes, high contrast settings help me seperate objects better. Ultrakill has a great feature that outlines enemies, which almost seems like it should be the default with how nuts that game gets.
@teamcherry.bsky.social You guys need to implement some kind of high contrast mode, or remove unnecessary particles setting, or SOMETHING, because I keep losing track of Hornet in the judge fight when the entire screen is on fire.
It does the thing where it roughly picks up the difficulty curve from where Hollow Knight left off. As soon as I saw regular enemies doing double damage, I knew I was in for some bullshit. God help those who didn't play Hollow Knoght first.
