I have 2 younger sisters, all mid to late 70s babies (74, 77, 78), my parents born in the early 50s. He said it like my parents were born in the 30s or 40s. Made no sense.
I was just being told that Boo.ers weren't Gen X parents and I'm like, I'm 50, all my friends are Gen X, except one who is Milennial and one who is a Gen Jones. My Gen X friends and Millenial friend who is a Xennial have Boomer parents and my Gen Jones friend has a Millenial child.

That's an anomaly. When I was in high school, all my friends parent pretty much went to high school with my dad. Same age, same generation. All my friends now our parents are around 74-76. We're all 50-52. Now millenials I know have parents in those years that are the last years of Boomers like 1964
If the generation before Boomers were mostly the parents of Gen X---which were mostly born in the 70s, they'd have been mid to late 30s-40s when they had children and we know this to not be a "thing" that was happening until the 2000s. In fact, Millennials are having children later.
