No idea exactly what kind of exams, but I think writing the thesis and studying for exams at the same time is not a bad plan. Keeps the foundational material in your head while writing up and may trigger some important thoughts when writing. Either way I never felt ready for exams or that anything ⬇️

The HP Victus may be an option if it is still available. I have never used it for gaming so it may be lacking for that but it is my day to day laptop as it had the specs I needed at a price I could afford a few years ago.

I accidentally saw it on this site and then someone mentioned you can turn off the automatic video play in your feed and did that. I do think this site needs a graphic warning filter on images and videos. It might already but I haven't found it. Also I absolutely avoid violent images at all cost.

Random thought. Just watching the bit of the Vuelta I have seen and the body language/how Almeida interacts with Jonas it almost seems like he is ok with it all. I get the feeling he gets on better with Jonas than his team and is not too bothered about winning at all costs. Or he is a good actor. 🤔

Just every interview talked about how hard the stage was and how they weren't really feeling at their best. I think you're right probably part psychological and physical. This stage difficult gradients/switchbacks combined with the scorched landscape, roadside events, 3rd week, illness, etc.
I don't think anyone enjoyed that stage other than the winner. Everyone seemed a bit salty after. 😬
