There's an Alien Covenant prequel that I don't remember the name of that's pretty good, but it's not really an Alien book, more like corporate espionage in that universe. I actually don't remember much about this book sadly, but don't read it if you haven't watched Aliens.

Don't know how they compare, but AviDemux accomplishes these tasks as well. Allows creating as mp4 or MKV. Has helped fixed files that VLC thinks are only 15 minutes but are well over 90.

Trying out Home Assistant and I am just very overwhelmed by how many parameters there are for each device and trying to make some kind of easy interface like the manufacturer's app. Not giving up, just wish it was easier (super good job from developers already though)
Why Netflix shows don't get watched, they cancel before finishing stories and there's no point in starting it as a viewer.
Season 4 was a sort of return to what people wanted, and 5 could have been great. I don't expect anyone to come back to it then, but when a show is "complete", there's a chance a renewed interest could pop up for new viewers to watch a complete series.
And a shame they weren't able to make the final season. Even if it wasn't performing as well as hoped, just finish it out. Maybe final season could have wrapped it all up in a way to bring some folks back.

I feel like the only version I had was a DVD that has a watermark for the production logo burnt in the screen by accident. Would love to find a better version. Gonna try out the Internet Archive version and see how it is.

Wonder if you could pass it through something like StemRoller that strips voice from songs? Since center channel is mainly dialogue, could separate it, boost it by itself, and maybe layer it back in? Probably would have a bit of echo or phasing, but worth a shot?

It sucks that by the time it's on PC, the hype and want to play will probably have passed and the story will have been spoiled enough to not be as interested.
I'm always fascinated at discussions about Mandarin and Cantonese translations, like a behind the scenes for someone who doesn't speak the language. It's bad when a non speaker can tell a whole bunch of dialogue does not match a 3 word subtitle. Is it too much to ask for faithful translations?
