So this at least isn't common in nz - it's house fees on tips and dances instead of a stage fee, but in aus I think it varies by state. But yeah the club cut is fucking awful, so dancers super appreciate cash tips

Yup!!! Fucking same, i knew the house fees on dances was rough but I hadn't like connected the dots mentally - CGs raising the fees from 40% is the event that spurred the creation of the fired up stilettos group, 19 dancers wrote a letter to management requesting a convo about that and were fired
Nah, in nz dancers aren't waged at all AFAIK - always tip cash if you can, as clubs take a cut of tipping dollars and house fees on dances are fucking robbery... 50% at calendar girls ππ
