I tend to listen to audiobooks at 2x+ speed. A study from 2019 in science advances claims the brain can handle 39 bits/s. And is generally consistent with human speed speech regardless of language. Calculating it out I listen to closer to 94 bits/s. That is the speed that my brain likes. /1
