I'm going to tell people the enormous bruise on my leg is from mountain biking even though I tripped VERY awkwardly in my garden because you can get away with lies like that in Colorado.
I was recently talking to a publisher about a book idea that might work for several big IPs. When they mentioned Harry Potter I told them that was a no-go for me and they totally understood. This is not hard work. And it's not a hard choice. It was me saying "no" and the conversation moving on.
Oldest has officially been dropped off at college 🎉😭 amazing help from the Greek system who descended on cars and delivered everything to the rooms - made everything so much easier.

Feeling nostalgic about the summer I was a game tester at EA & I was one of the oldest in the room, one of two women, and since I wildly exaggerated my gaming life in my interview 👀 I was by far the most beginner gamer. Yet I was asked to apply for a lead position because I wrote good bug reports 😂

It's about 10 years since I thought "Hey, maybe I should write something!" I was 42. I had barely written anything in a LONG time. I had zero contacts. My writing now doesn't pay a ton of bills but the work, the friends, the high you get from filling the blank page - it's been quite something.
Sometimes the mail box comes through for a win!

What a journey the High Republic has been for SW fans! & I’ll be excited for every new story for (hopefully) years to come. Thankful some of my Insider interviews made the short story collections & that I helped create the Character Encyclopedia (even though writing that outline almost killed me 😂)

Ridiculous thing to say, but that means this book would be set in 6 BBY which I find interesting because that year is not as full with other stories as other years on the timeline.
The only celebrity that I ever tried to copy - I got a pixie cut after Reality Bites came out and always end up coming back to it. One of my favorite actors.

Continuing my return to Star Wars Outlaws (so fun) I apparently did not understand that in addition to getting upgrades for my blaster there was a whole equipping part I was missing. Can't wait to get into a fight with someone now. Plus, I think I fully understand how to play Sabacc! Progress!!

I’m back to playing Star Wars Outlaws after a lengthy break & I think this is the first time all 4 syndicates like me at the same time!
Watching Andor with my mom is just as amazing as I had hoped. She did NOT like it when an Imperial pushed over Bee. She is very, very worried about Bix. She hoped two people in Season 2 weren't really dead (so far) and we finally got to the "calibrate your enthusiasm" line & she burst out laughing.
After watching Season 2 of Quarterback I am SO READY for football season to begin. I really enjoy going to Broncos games and just screaming a lot. It seems especially handy in 2025.

The most interesting thing about Stranger Things to me is that people who watched it as it came out over the years and people who start watching it after it's all come out are going to have very different experiences with it. I'm tempted to rewatch the whole thing but ... likely won't have time.

The Pitt touching on post-Covid trauma and Andor's look at fascism and genocide has been quite something in 2025 but Superman being a super powerful guy (an immigrant!) who just wants to help people - it's really been all I've thought about for 24 hours. It felt so GOOD to show my son that.
