Knowing or not, many of these genAI companies exploit that loneliness and aversion to challenge. They create the conditions for over-reliance and delusions.
I think much of this + general phone addiction cause/spawn from loneliness. It's a vicious cycle, but the internet can take away the hard work of knowing and being known. It can leave us with views that are never challenged. (In my experience it isn't a productive place for those disagreements.)
Just finished the first book in Portuguese I've read in over a year; it's a really beautiful one about absence and acceptance. If any of you speak portuguese and happen to be looking for a new read I recommend this one!
