2/3 of those in Nursing Homes are elderly people on Medicaid. Are we ok with seeing elderly people on the street begging for food & shelter? We lived that in the Great Depression, we as a civilized society created a Social Safety Net to protect the most vulnerable. Going back is not an option!
A negative impact that will affect everyone, whether they have Medicaid or not is Hospital closures. Right now, about 20% of hospital revenue comes from Medicaid. How many hospitals will be closing or sold to oligarchs without that revenue source??
