The Airbnb experience isn't that anymore. Its been corporatized. Now its mostly speculative properties pulling money (snd taxes) away from hotels, and the no-longer-local experience is both sterile and sub-par in service to a hotel. Now we are back to hotels.
I loved the early days of Airbnb, when the initial users seemed to be 'swapping' lives for a week. I've stayed in a small 4th story walk-up in Copenhagen, and a cologne model's glitzy condo in Amsterdam.
