Because national reporters rely on repeat interviews and on being invited to conferences every year. Local journalists realise that they only have one chance to question party leaders regardless, so they can ask the difficult questions. Hence Reform boycotting interviews with the Nottingham Post.

I always loved the "low-tech sci-fi" feel of the original Alien film. It was executed superbly in the "Alien: Isolation" game too.
The first three films are all good in very different ways. Avoid "Alien: Resurrection" though.
I'm not sold on the Umbrella Academy-style Peter Pan superhero children plotline either. It takes up a lot of screen time and adds very little to the plot.
In fairness, "Alien: Isolation" came out about ten years ago and was the best Alien film that was never made.
