It's just that violent criminals are not the bulk of prisons anymore. There's white-collar criminals and non-violent drug offenders. Marginalized communities get sentenced more harshly, we've allowed our prisons to become profit sources, and let's just say it's messy and unkind.
Well, we all know how the justice system works for marginalized communities. At least I hope we do. And no, jails and prisons do not predominantly hold people that have committed serious violent crimes.

Thank you. We have had, what? Two trans mass shooters? Each incident is tragic, but there's something in common with the vast majority of all of them. That will never be an item of concern, though.
If they were trans, they were trans. I've just seen many come out the door claiming shooters were trans when they aren't. I didn't have any info at that time. People can be trans and homocidal lunatics at the same time. Just too often it's used to demonize the community.

Also for your physical security, you can get stun guns really cheap. The ones for the public won't knock anyone out but they are noisy AF and that will deter most. They certainly hurt. Not a bad idea to carry when walking your dog in case they get attacked. That's a big fear of mine.
