Early on Naomi Williams was suggested as going on loan, but I've not seen that mentioned recently, hence why I've kept her in squad total. Not sure 4 goalkeepers are needed! If she is ultimately loaned out, then we are at 25 so we'd be okay. And goalies have special rules about recalls from loans.

Academy kids don't count. You can have up top 5 in a squad. You may be talking about those who have signed professional contracts. I don't think they count as academy players any more. I could be wrong. This is why I said the rules aren't clear.
Not sure it's find a replacement. It's hard to keep track. the rules are not too clear, and not every loan is confirmed yet, but in my current spreadsheet we need another player to leave or go on loan to hit the WSL 25 contract player limit before the 4th.

I think it depends on the loan, but what it does do is remove the salary from the WSL 40% of the gross annual budget salary cap calculation. I'm still playing Fantasy WSL Loans. I've seen our rumoured loans for 2025/26, but currently we still have 33 contract players and we can only register 25. 🤔
