Yikes: Relative risk 1.3-2.5! For a common disease! Now study gabapentin and dementia/MCI when used for the approved and other off-label indication uses. Til then, why not just use something else?
That was my similar thought. The risk benefit discussion changes when used for an approved indication where it actually works. TBH I’ve been very loathe about using it because of the significant acute CNS effects and cholinergic burden. This sours the equation further.
