i’m not casting the blame of this on you, I wouldn’t be responding if I didn’t think you were cool, but these sorts of posts /are/ a kind of crowdsourced abuse. it’s easy to feel less responsible when you’re one person in a crowd, but that crowd becomes an ocean, and it’s an easy one to drown in
i saw (and still see) people saying truly heinous shit. blocking alone can really only do so much, especially when people circumvent those blocks to continue their harassment (as did the op)
i mean, even if that was all, that *is* still harassment. the whole point of harassment is to create an environment of hostility. having hundreds of people shouting at you or creating memes about you or speculating on the nature of your character, it’s dehumanizing. that’s the point

If you want to actually solve the problem, instead of punishing itch, start calling payment cos Collective Shout, which is run by people who get published by Spinifex, a very terf-seeming organization, apparently needed 1,000 people to yell at visa to get this done. We got more than 1000 people.
every ounce of energy enjoying art is as valuable as participating in creating art because to be an audience to art is to "participate" in its creation. there is no static line between audience and creator just points of intent, context, and contribution
