So somewhere along the lines I got confused and said Jonny Long had an on base streak over 40 games. It never got that high, I just miscounted. Anyway, it is now up to 35 games for real after a base hit this past inning.

Kyle Tucker got hurt on the first day of June but posted his highest average bat speed of the season in the month of June. It's hard to say what happened when with him getting out of sync, but I'm guessing by the time any decline was evident there wasn't an actual fracture to justify an IL stint.

I know it wasn't a ton of runs or even hits, but the Cubs had good ABs for the most part today, and would have hit at least a few homers had the wind not been howling in. One of their better offensive days in a while.
