this is one of the more low chance areas of this happening btw, usually it'll take a while to get this, and take even longer to get the debug menu here.
so there's certain areas in earthbound where if you check it there's a chance for either garbled textbox dialogue or if you're lucky enough, a debug menu that will show up. just got to threed's circus (which is one of the spots you can do this glitch in) and literally just did it first try

I think the most helpful artist advice I can give is that if you see ANY photo at ALL of ANYTHING that makes you think "oh cool/interesting" SAVE IT!!! SAVE IT!!!!!! make a folder for reference pictures and file it away somewhere you can find it again "Oh but I won't draw that-" YES YOU WILL!!!!!
