I know it wouldnt translate well for every jrpg, but it mitigates having to reload a save and go through all sorts of BS. Itโs amazing.
I hope thatโs the case with Atlus games going forward at the very least.

Iโm sure people say it trivializes combat, but I really dont give a shit ๐ Giving players the chance to retry a fight instead of having to reload a save is a godsend. Itโs a time saver. If you dont like it, dont use it! ๐๐ป
Retry battle is one of those QOL features you donโt realize youโve been missing until itโs there. Itโs an absolute game-changer.

I got my morning hike inโnow time to continue onwards in Metaphor. โ๏ธ๐ฎ Some real world adventure before diving into the fantasy oneโฆ the perfect balance.
I honestly have no idea.. maybe under gameplay options? I accidentally picked the hardest difficulty and only found out halfway through the game ๐ But it really encouraged me to strategize! I implore people to at least try it.
If youโre comfortable with these kinda games, I recommend playing on the hardest difficulty. I know some people complain itโs otherwise too easyโฆ Enjoy though! I love Unicorn Overlord.
