They’re so busy rewriting bathroom bills & open carry laws that workers can suck a rotten egg for all they care. Housing prices are skyrocketing, and wages aren’t going up. The working poor are literally getting screwed by the NC GOP, but they still keep voting ‘em in. It boggles the mind.
#NC needs to do better to protect their workers. We can bring in the business (as one who relocated for work, I can testify to this), but there have to be better worker protection laws here. They're awful, and companies need to raise wages, as they aren't rising with the population growth.
I'm not surprised at this. I remember when workers tried to do union organizing at the Amazon shipping plant in Garner. Union busting and worker retaliation is terrible here. People have been well trained to distrust them, even though they help with worker protections. Then, the minimum wage...
