I didn't write off Shaw, but I'll admit, watching Smith get off to a hotter start made me groan. No idea who will be better long term but Smith has WAY less time in the minors and is close to Shaw. I'm not sure which Reds guy you're talking about. Morel is a really different case.
Shaw's had an excellent 3 weeks. Smith had a better 3 months. I honestly hope both have amazing MLB careers.
