I was just looking up a list of the greatest sports movies -- my favorites are 1) Rocky, 2) Rudy, 3) Rocky IV, 4) Hoosiers, 5) Slap Shot -- and I didn't realize that some people treat "sports movie" as loosely as "Christmas movie," making Big Lebowski and Uncut Gems hilarious contenders.

The 3rd season of The Bear is certainly enjoyable — and I still love the characters — but the tension is gone (despite the ticking clock) and it’s entered a cozy/cutesy phase, shouldering up to Ted Lasso. The main conflict of its big episode was getting a girl to dance at a wedding…

Not only was The Pitt -- the grounded-in-realism HBO hospital drama that takes place in one wild day, every one hour installment happening in "real time" -- an absolutely gripping and gutting watch...but I'm pretty sure I can now perform a tracheotomy.
