The entire federal government from staff to Congressional Democrats is running on a retirement cliff. It's completely fine to have a few people stay on long term, but 1) what does everyone having stayed on give us right now? and 2) does doing this systemically not result in this no matter what?

On my "the culture is changing" nongripes for Seattle: Every intersection in this city legally is a crosswalk. Make the drivers follow the law and stop fearing walking. We have too many transplants in this city to justify the heterosexual inability to find community on local culture. Fix yourselves.

The number of tech CEOs is low in this country and is happy to bankroll your campaigns. The number of, say, trans people and their families that can no longer get their medication is surging, and is in fact much larger as you're complaining about them all in one basket.

I see the "the culture is changing argument." Simultaneously, rights have collapsed in two of our most populous states and people are fleeing. Low-vacancy cities must build to comply with our responsibility to our fellow Americans under Trump's gun.

A lot of the opera questions are just "Why are they singing in a way where I have difficulty processing words?" and I feel like that has answers.
Ben Steele (@bensteele.bsky.social) reply parent
But like understanding a soap opera is objective something you have to learn to do. "Why is it always like this—that is stupid" goes away a little bit when you're like "Oh this is a requirement of the form in order to accomplish XYZ"

Okay, having worked on a couple of deportation prevention outside strategies, the role of members of Congress is first to gather information and intercede between higher ups and the impacted. That's the role of the member's case load and part of the value of them being in DC. Rallies happen after.
