There’s a growing case for UBI coming from the (shrinking, but still extant) sliver of the right that sincerely cares about fiscal policy. The basic outline is “eliminate most targeted safety net programs, cut a check, institute national health insurance, bam. More lightweight government.”

These guys can *show* the crackpots the big pile of conspiracy manuscripts in their slush pile, the short program that mashes them together. And the crackpots only get more desperate to find out what is really going on.
So the more these guys try to explain themselves and their program, the more certain the crackpots are that *they are hiding the truth from them* The grand unified conspiracy theory is simply too big, too well-connected, too explanatory, for it to just be made out of dice rolls.

It is a melange of crackpottery. No matter what crackpot belief you have, you *will* find it somewhere in there, plausibly connected to every other crackpot belief by means of literally rolling dice on the next word.
They begin selling these generated crackpot books. And suddenly, their prank grand unified conspiracy theory takes on a life of its own as it appeals to *every single crackpot*
The program randomly jams shit together. This piece of a manuscript ranting about the Templars. That piece of a manuscript babbling about quantum physics. This crayon-drawn manifesto shrieking about aliens. Their slush pile becomes the corpus for their conspiracy theory generator.
