Second that. Similar numbers of new books added to my WW1 library & listening to this series also highlighted number of new personalities & aspects for me to investigate. History made accessible is never a bad thing surely?

Word is Newey was being somewhat sidelined by Horner & others were taking credit for his work. I think the whole team has gotten into a funk with infighting etc

I’m not saying it’s built for him but the focus in the team is biased towards him. I wouldn’t be surprised if Horner’s sacking is designed to keep him in the team. It’s not just driver championship it’s about constructors too. But all they seem to want to do is put him in the most advantageous
It’s a new era in the sport and it’s a team sport more than ever. Newey always gets my respect but the focus is always on Verstappen. I’m guessing we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one. I’m not that enamoured with Verstappen never have been.
I just feel the focus has been on just one driver the #2 drivers have little chance if they’re not a proper part of the team. The car must suit both drivers not just the Ace. Just look at McLaren currently, Mercedes with Hamilton & Rosberg.
You can’t build a team around just one driver & his preferences & those of his Dad!!
Losing Newey was a big blow. The 2nd driver issue remains unresolved as you say down to Marko and it’s costing the team badly. The obsession with Verstappen hasn’t helped

Oh yeah I agree that fresh blood is often needed. It’s a long time in F1 20 years. But I still think last years mess made it inevitable sooner than later I’m no big fan of Horner anyway.
Lots of good people left after his problems last year. To lose Newey is massive. I think the top people at Red Bull were just waiting for a while to let they settle but think his days were numbered from that point on. Jos Verstappen most definitely behind this too I feel
