Speculation on my part, but I'd guess they didn't all come from the same facility. So time/distance/logistics plays a part there. Possible need to find an alternate for the smaller numbers if the facility didn't have the capacity (either already above max, or transfer out/transfer in)...

Testing a small batch of yogurt made with protein powder in it (versus mixing in after). Oddly, in Step 1 (1 min pressure steam), it actually SEALED with the lid loose and upside down! Popped off the lid and it twisted!! Never seen a lid do that before...
Hospital I was at Thurs/Fri... I don't think I realized HOW many leg amputations are done - or it was a REALLY bad week. Person across the hall from me in ER went up to OR for amputation/debridement. On my way out, talked to one guy who JUST had his off, and another guy back for 1 week followup.

...and then a 3 hour nap! After the IV and some stronger anti-emetics at the hospital (Dr agreed, urgent care would NOT have been able to provide...) and literally a 'prescription' for tylenol (fever control, inflammation) and gravol (stomach) for a week just to finalize recovery from (???).

Maybe FA's should work-to-rule. Not being paid, not doing work. "Sorry you didn't get your meal, we're no longer checking what's on the plane until after the doors are closed". FTR - pilots are responsible for all the safety aspects pre-flight, this is NOT that.
Knowing a few people affected by this (FA's, not passengers), they absolutely will not be happy. Knowing more than is widely published, they are NOT asking for much. This is heavy handed. Although it'd look 'bad' on the FA's...work-to-rule would show how BAD the situation is.

When I became a Senator, I started flying a lot. Back and forth from Edmonton to Ottawa - not to mention flights to conferences and events. I had never before understood the archaic way that flight attendants are paid. The clock only starts when the airplane door closes. 🧵
Given how intelligence sharing and everything 'works', I wouldn't be surprised, in fact, I'd almost expect that they do - along with other countries. China (and the most recent 90 day tariff hold) comes to mind... I'd bet it's a matter of if they USE the info versus if they just HAVE the info...

I have FA friends who had told me about it TWO DECADES ago, I just haven't seen it much mainstreamed, certainly not as much as it SHOULD be! Said FA's are now much better off (generally reasons other than their pay), and now contribute. THAT should embarrass the airline AND the gov't.
Considering they almost HAVE to live in some of the most expensive cities, you almost NEED a second job just to survive, and you can't schedule something in anything meaningful to 'most' employers because you're almost ALWAYS also on call (outside of mandatory rest).
So...the Flight Attendant crew room 'food bank' is a known thing now? Or were you talking in general?
To be clear, embarrassing that it HAS TO HAPPEN. NOT that they're embarrassing their colleagues! She made use of it a lot as she was coming up, and, now 'paying it forward', and that's now almost 2 decades later!
I have some FA friends. Let's just say for some of the junior attendants, the crew room basically ALSO functions as food bank. More senior (or, rather, better situated) attendants will bring in groceries so there isn't a choice between rent, food, and even paying to GET to work. It's embarrassing.

Don't know if I mentioned this, but the REAL nice thing about the 'Government' health care program Mom is on is that I ALSO get help OUTSIDE of the standard care for her. I get a call at least once a week to see how I am doing, if I need any support/advice/mental health assistance!

Pretty certain this was the first pork chop I slightly dehydrated first before grilling! Forget just patting it dry, dehydrating bring up the internal temp and makes it about 3 mins on each side to be cooked! ~1hr on the dehydrator...

My neighbour brought up the 'pay increase' they wanted which is described as outlandish. When I told him what they AREN'T paid for, that number dwindles to about average... It's a small increase, but seems larger because they want to be paid for their ACTUAL time working.
