Just like he totally misunderstands how NATO funding works. I believe that he doesn't grasp that we're the largest exporter of economic and cloud computing services in the world, and we have a large trade surplus in that sector. I think he's only looking at physical goods traded.
Which is where I get a little perplexed by him. Our manufacturing capacity shrank drastically after Reagan, and it's kinda impossible for countries to buy what we don't make. This might ultimately help the farmers, but that's not a big job creator. It would take years for manufacturing to retool.
