Although I've only read her work in the original Catalan, some of Marçal's poetry has also been translated into English. The translators of The Body's Reason, Montserrat Abellò and Noèlia Diaz are also great poets so I'm sure they captured the essence of Marçal! #WITmonth @fundaciommm.bsky.social

#WITmonth The play An Triail was translated from Gaelic into English by the author herself, Máiréad Ní Ghráda. A young single pregnant woman in Ireland up against everything - family, establishment, Church, patriarchy. The play is really well structured and has a strong message - even more so... 1/n
Back to #WITmonth but curiously not translated into English. Yet! Catalan author Maria Climent's Gina has been translated into Spanish, French, Ukranian, Greek and Danish, while A Casa Teníem Un Himne is available in Spanish, French and Greek. In "Gina" a young woman leaves Barcelona to return..1/2
A few more #WITMonth books I've read over the last year. I'd recommend (and often do) all four of them in a flash, some great writing.
Just finished this in #WITmonth, translated from Icelandic to Catalan in this case. I believe it hasn't been translated into English yet but others by the same author, Auður Ava Ólafsdóttir, have, and if they're half as good as this, I'd check 'em out!
#WITMonth Goodbye, Ramona (translated by Maria Cristina Hall and Meg Berkobien) and The Time of Cherries (trans. Julia Sanches) are the first two parts of a trilogy (but can be read separately) by Catalan author Montserrat Roig. Seems that the 3rd part (The Violet Hour) may be translated soon... 1/2
