I learned in my high school history class that the founders expected representatives in congress to be short term. It wasnāt meant to be a full time career. Sure government has grown, but I still donāt think it should be a career and especially not decades long.

How about term limits for SCOTUS? They can stagger the appointment so that each administration gets to appoint justices while others rotate off. Same with appellate courts too. No more lifetime appointments.

My parents did not work for a union shop. They retired with only their savings and Social Security. My husband and I worked in a union shop and retired with a pension, social security and other benefits. We also lived with a higher income. Unions are what made the middle class.
Today we get to enjoy Labor Day, because of the generations of workers who came before us to fight for fair wages, benefits, and basic decency.
