"I can't remember the last time I spoke to President Trump," Cuomo now claims in response to NYT's reporting that they recently discussed the mayor's race. And Cuomo also insists: "I've never spoken to him about the mayor's race."
Cuomo's back at the Sheraton unveiling his affordability agenda. It's essentially hitting on the same issues Mamdani built his campaign around, but Cuomo's proposals are more modest. Cuomo proposes free transit only for low-income NYers and a $20 minimum wage, for instance.
After talking about Trump's NYC love, Adams said, in apparent reference to Mamdani: "I think everyone see, you know, the threats we're facing." Asked if he'd be disappointed if Trump backs Cuomo, Adams tells @katiehonan.bsky.social: "I would be more disappointed if you supported him."
