I'm setting one up to heat my small one bedroom flat. A metal bucket of sand a slow burn vegetable shortening candle and a strip of copper to heat and bury in the sand using the coppers good conductivity. It would cost about $4 Aud a week. That's a crap tonne cheaper than an electric heater.
