I've seen some vocally anti-AI people recently make an anti-AI post and be surprised there are still pro-AI people following them, and I can explain this; most pro-AI people think they are somehow the exception. the way THEY are using it, SURELY you would take no issue! well, we do. so fuck off.

Reading the content of the expansion i just can't help think of CoO and "two tokens and a blue" Would love to see them bring something good but right now this'll be the first D2 expansion in almost a decade i've not played on launch.
I imagine people will try it, get halfway through some of the seasonal stories, then get so confused when they disappear with the new expansion (i'm playing through the newest one and it just feels like a slog honestly)

Agree with all of this, not sure if better management could've stopped microsoft sacrificing studios for their ai nonsense ambitions but would be nice if we could at least see them pushing back and trying to avoid as many cuts as possible
Would love to see it happen, especially after Tango Gameworks got saved after microsoft shut them. But also I think Playstation Studios have the opportunity to do the funniest thing here.
A shame they can't make it work offline, despite all the jank there was some fun gameplay buried in there.
Happened to me too, one of them offhandedly made an "it's not rocket science" so I explained how rocket science isn't even that complicated, and then they just sort of let me go (they had to untie me already so i could draw the diagrams)
I suspect that these layoffs are more microsoft wanting to free up funding to spend on ai than anything Phil or Xbox did wrong. That said a few pay cuts at the top could've saved a lot of people losing their jobs.

Sure would be nice if they actually gave their actual consoles the same attention they give to play anywhere. Something like the premium hoke console experience, but your games are playable wherever you are. (I'd go as far as if a disc is in the console, you can access that game on any device)

I've written into my D&D campaign that there's a wrecked Giff spelljamming ship and that it once raided an 80s/90s inspired world, now i'm tempted to put that the Giff became fans of Rick Astley.
Compared to previous years this is the least interested in an expansion i've been, would love for them to bring me back in but this just doesn't sound fun.

Final Fantasy XVI launched on Xbox Sunday Night and so far every day this week i've been at work like "I want to get home and continue playing"
I enjoyed it for what it was, but still wonder what might have been if they'd been able to build the game they truly wanted to from the start, and didn't have to try and reuse all the live service game parts.
Sounds like every issue i have with the game came from EA wanting it to be a live service. It's a shame since it was a fun game that I enjoyed, but aside from the companion stories i feel like there's very little replayability to it.
I really wanted to see this game do well, but i still haven't even gotten around to finishing Shattered Space. Would love to see them turn it around with an overhaul and another expansion, but I can't see it happening.

Not sure i'd really consider it all that important myself, would rather it had more launch titles outside of ports and upgraded switch 1 games (though Tears of the Kingdom runs like a dream on there)

Doctor Who really suffers from these shorter seasons, several dangling plot threats that never got resolved (and might be unlikely to ever be resolved now) just make me feel a little disappointed.

Mine was an investigator who was undercover with a cult, the cult group got caught and he was executed as one of them. Rather than a normal execution he's turned into an automaton, waking up several years later with amnesia. (Literally bursting out of a crate the party were assigned to deliver)

So that's why they took console streaming off the app (the browser is atrocious, i gave up after it kept dropping out, never had that problem in the xbox app)

For years @xbox.com had the ability to stream your console to the mobile app and it worked great, now it's been moved to a web browser and barely works, i hate it here.
