In our split electoral voting system, Harris won three of the four votes. Overall she won 58.2% of the vote. Southern, coastal and northern Maine are largely Democratic. There is a swath of red middle state. And yes, we did have LePage, but we now have the extreme opposite with Mills.
Maine is consistently a Blue state, with a liberal Governor and an Independent(Democratic) senator . Susan Collins....Susan Collins is just entrenched in the soil here...lots of money and the power to persuade. Her Hardware stores are in every town. But one of these times, she's got to fail.
