Bar Harbor, 4:21 AM 6/16/25. I generally don't do a late night shoot and then an early morning shoot, but the group enthusiastically wanted to get up for sunrise after shooting the Milky Way. We made a brief stop in Bar Harbor for the dawn glow before heading to the Ocean Drive for sunrise

Sunspots... The sun was glowing red last evening through the smoke filled skies, and I was curious to see what sunspots might show up in a photo. No filters were used, the smoke filtered the sun to a safe level for viewing. Not good for breathing, but decent for viewing.

Brant Lake aurora, 1:32 AM, June 3, 2025. Note the Starlink satellites across the right portion of the sky plus what I believe is satellite flare since the line ends abruptly on both ends. NOAA reported the activity reached a KP7 level at 1:33 EDT this morning. These were softly visible by eye.

I stopped by the used car lot on my way home from Lake George Thursday morning. A set of tires and mechanical work and it's set to go! lol I've passed this many times and on Thurs. it really stood out to me in the morning light with the budding saplings framing the abandoned 1930's Ford Coupe.

The Big Dipper, lots of stars, and a satellite flare early this morning. I was up around 3 AM and thought I'd try out my Nomad tracker to see how well I had aligned the laser pointer. The streak with bright section is a satellite flare along with a steadier satellite in the photo.
