Itās subtle, but the basic idea is that saying ātrans womenā makes it clear that we are talking about a subcategory of women, rather than a whole new term. Itās clear from your post that you mean it in good faith but some people use it to imply that trans women are a distinct category from women
Fully agree with the sentiment! However just be aware that the preferred terminology includes the space (i.e. ātrans manā and ātrans womanā), since the combined version is sometimes used as a dogwhistle to imply that trans people arenāt really members of their gender group. But yes!
