I’m Canadian. There are long waits for specialists for routine health problems. With an urgent problem you absolutely get in faster and get treated faster. I’ve had a specialist tell me “if this gets worse, call my office & I’ll see you and if I think it’s urgent I’ll get your surgery faster”
