All of mine have been good at the vet, Maya even got kisses on her head last time. My parents on the other hand seemed to attract vet hating demons in kitty form.

We took on an ex-feral who was taken from the colony probably a little too late. He adored our existing cat and the tabby kitten we got a few years after him. He loved head scritches but never sat on laps. He ended up an only cat towards the end and coped well. Fingers crossed for sweet Satsuma

The peregrines near us in Sutton, South London have fledged their chicks and we’re really enjoying watching them playing with each in the air, diving and grappling at each other. They’re also chasing pigeons and swifts but never seem to come close to a catch yet.
Oh it is the worst pain, every step you take makes it feel worse too I found.

I’ve changed to physical books compared to kindle app on my phone or a kindle because it means I can put electronic devices away and this improves my concentration. Also libraries are free. I am not young though

I don’t understand the problem with ear tipping, it’s done while they are sedated isn’t it? My old boy Harry was about 10 when we adopted him and I was never sure if his ear had been tipped or if it was the result of a fight. He was an adorable sweet boy and I think it made him look rakish

I’m sorry that you are both going through this. Please don’t feel any guilt, from what you describe a care setting is the best place. My mum died from dementia last summer and had been in a care home since dad died in 2019. It was the safest place for her and she was well cared for 24 hours a day.
Some Americans I know who have dual citizenship with a European country are already quite advanced in house shopping in that country
I spent some quality time avoiding the horrors in The Spring Tavern, eating Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding and drinking pinot noir. We walked there and back so it also counts as ‘outside’.
