I rewatched it relatively recently and was pleasantly surprised how much I still enjoyed it. It is VERY of its time
If the syntax is weird, it's probably regular old bad writing from a human.
I alas have no particular excuse for how often I watched it.
I think it's interesting that people accuse any writing that sounds off as being the product of ChatGPT when that usually sounds off in a very specific way.
