Rural people are the most coddled people in this country while cities are demonized. Cities, where all of america's wealth, everything important is made, and where all it's culture reside while some dying shithole in the middle of nowhere full of stupid racists is called real america. Nauseating.

There is the actual Democratic Party, which for better or worse is a mostly ordinary liberal political party and then there is the “Democratic Party,” a synecdoche for everything that annoys you online.

About two dozen provider organizations have stopped offering gender-affirming care in response to Trump’s threats. But not all hospitals are complying in advance. Boston Children’s Hospital recently issued a statement saying it would continue care. www.lgbtqnation.com/2025/07/bost...

I have a half-baked theory that recent elites looked back at their historic counterparts and saw how they utterly dominated the masses, they have strived to return to that past.

What are you talking about? They had so many volunteers in PA that they didn't have anything to do for some of them! Ppl who don't get the stakes stayed home rather than sack up and do their civic duty.

The reason people would justifiably get mad at Chappell Roan saying “I don’t support Dems anti trans policies either” is because she was making something up that didn’t exist in order to maintain the social currency that “both parties bad” still holds for low info and shallow cynical people.

People like living in Massachusetts because we have good public services. We will not have good public services if we do not have robust tax revenue. Why do corporations hate society?

Why does Boston have a housing crisis? Because even a building like *this* has to go to the @landmarks.boston.gov and have a public meeting about its demolition. Among countless others before units get built on a major road in a dense, transit-rich neighborhood... Insanity. We need to do better

While the radicalization of young men is largely seen for what it is, the insidious campaign targeting young women isn’t positioned as indoctrination. It’s a lifestyle, an aesthetic, and—most dangerously—a perfectly good and feminist choice. jessica.substack.com/p/princess-t...

Once again, my fellow nerds, I am begging you to remember that giving into bullies only guarantees they'll be back. You've got to punch Biff Tannen in the face, McFly, or he'll rule over you forever.
