They have NO problem paying $ to have unqualified, uneducated FBI, ICE, etc., removing immigrants off the street who are just living while black or brown, committing zero crimes, attending a legal appointment as required, but have NO funding for elderly vets who are 100% service-connected disabled?
ANNOUNCEMENT!! The VA DENIED my 82-year-old mother more home care hours "as needed" again. I asked them for more hours so I could have time off to have medical tests/procedures or possible surgeries. Their answer was to put her in a nursing home. She's 100% T&P service-connected disabled USAF Vet

I'm starting to believe that people with disabled adults or children will need to start their own group home system/neighborhood or at the very least start up their own programs somehow. The states & federal system is not helping. Trump just wants the disabled, elderly & poor to die he's not fooling
But that "6 hours" is a genuine thing across all states and agencies, it's crazy. I live in MA "taxachusetts" we joke, and most people can only get 6 hours paid from an agency and if they do it or have someone else they know do it they can get up to 10 hours, BUT that program was cut by Trump.
I then did more digging & found out that they were keeping information from me, so I applied for more hours and then more. I then got to a point where they had denied more. So I can't get a day off until she dies. People don't understand you can't be 2 places at once & we have to literally do it all
If Trump has his way, he'll bring in forced institutionalization or worse. The 5-6 hours is a thing across all services for any reason. When my elderly Mom first started getting hours, it was "she can only get 6". She's a 100% totally & permanently service-connected disabled USAF Veteran. A lie.

I was just denied an appeal for more home care hours for my Mom. I couldn't be with my Dad when he was dying because the VA refused more home care. I had to stay awake 22.5 hrs a day for 4 mos last yr so she could rehab at home due to previous neglect & injuries in skilled rehabs. We must do better.

It's interesting as my Mom told me to stay away from this back in the day and it was all the rage. This and Ford Model Mgmt.'s contests as well. I pursued modeling locally for a bit and then realized it was far too surface for my deep self even though I love the visual aspects of art & modeling.
