Apparently I'm thinking about spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Maybe some garlic bread?
Just about anything with the wing/ point type shape wears really well as a shoulder wrap. The wing parts tend to keep it in place better over a plain triangle shawl. It also works well as a wrapped scarf because of the length across the top and it's 1 weight yarn.
Now I'm wondering if I can make one shaped like a pumpkin? With no point - how would that wear? Guess I'll have to make it and find out - if it won't work as a shawl - it'll work as a tablecloth 😭

There were stories, of course, but I learned young that my mom makes stuff up to suit herself and her own beliefs. I've never been inclined to do a DNA thing, I'm happy believing I am everyone and nothing at once.
I honestly have no idea where I come from other than I was born in the US in the '70s. I am an American. I claim no heritage other than that, and count myself blessed that I grew up in a diverse societal culture that has allowed me to enjoy food/music/dance/ritual from other places.
I'd like to point out (for whatever reason) that I have no idea what my "heritage" is. My mother wasn't great at keeping up with family and I've never met my dad. In fact, once my mom dies - I'll have no connections to any other blood relative of mine.
Those things wouldn't exist in this weird "utopia" y'all have in your head. The list of every day things you use that were invented by non-white folks would disappear. You'd go back to being fodder for the fauna of the forest and die off as you should. No gov't, build your own We could televise it

Violently swatting at them only agitates them. They are persistent. They will land on your face, and on your body - if you try to squish them - they will be faster with their stingers and then you just pump more pain juice into your body. They can also sting you multiple times with their waspy twerk
Inspect your drinks - the majority of stings at faire happen in/around the mouth. Buy a lid for your mug Look at what you're shoveling into your face before you do it. The wasps eat meat, they will land on your turkey leg to feast with no fucks for your feelings.
Gonna warn y'all, the yellow jackets that showed up the 2nd weekend of MDRF are AGGRESSIVE. Expect booths to be burning incense to keep them away. If you are carrying around beer, mead, wine, soda, fruit juice, or turkey legs (yes, meat) - expect the wasps to beg off you. These are NOT bees.
Continuing with all things Autumn, after cleaning up from the quick pickled beets, I'm moving on to making cheesecake balls I can freeze to bake into the center of mini spiced pumpkin muffins.
The jars of pickled beets I like are now $8. Bought fresh beets I just skinned and threw into all of the juice I've been saving from the last couple of jars. I won't buy $8 jars of beets.

Two weeks ago I was standing behind the booth at the MD renfest and a lone yellow leaf drifted down into my face. I picked it up, held it over my head, and paraded it around the booth yelling, "IT IS BEGINNING!" Then a braider claimed it for their tip jar. 😂

I was blocking this earlier. This is 0 weight (lace weight) cotton. It is so light. Don't let the tiny yarn size fool you either - with the proper sized hook, it's not hard to work with. I used a 2mm with this yarn.

It was gone Monday morning when I woke up. Came up around 7:30p Sunday night over about 90 minutes. I have no fucking clue - snake stigmata is my best guess because I touched nothing different than I usually do. I wasn't in the woods or gardening. 🤷♀️
As a hooker, I didn't even consider fabric, I just make my own hehehe. Yarn comes in all weights! A nice 1 or 2 weight cotton wouldn't add more heat than a t-shirt - possibly less depending on the stitch and how much is actually wrapped around the neck. I love the concept! It's adorable.
Not sure what they would look at... there's nothing where it was. No punctures, nothing. Just the little moles I've always had. I am going to show the pics to my endo when I see her at the end of the month.

This is also the face of a woman who peopled far too much over 3 days working the Renaissance Festival. I was in tears yesterday morning because people WOULD NOT stop chasing me to ask me how many people were in front of them AFTER I told them it was a 40 minute wait. Learn to tell time, people.
The only thing my aging body is doing right is how my grey is coming in. I do wish it would go faster.
I would suggest in either case you look at yarns first if you want to color match all the colors because your paint will be easier to adjust than yarn colors for the scarf unless you also commission hand dyed yarn, but then you're talking about a scarf that's going to end up costing you way more.
Seriously the scarf would be a hella easy skill to pick up in knit or crochet. Crochet would probably be easier (though a knitter would likely disagree heh)
