I decided months ago to follow the social media accounts of doctors and researchers that I trust believe in the scientific method and ethical data collection methods. So very sad that we must rely on social media to provide disease control information instead of being able to rely on the CDC. 🔬🧪🦠

I came home from the library today to a covey of quail in my front yard enjoying the tossed seed. There were 15 tiny quail in the shade of our huge tree. I was giddy & sat in the car forever watching them. I couldn’t get a photo but rest assured, SkyBirds, I shall attempt to capture them tomorrow!📸

For the #Nerdfighteria community, it was interesting to read that several Danaher companies (focus of a recent #EndTB cost-reduction effort) were involved & evidently provided their portion of the gene therapy at cost. I think it’s good to acknowledge when problematic companies do a good thing.

Measles high infection rate is the reason we have not yet been able to eradicate it. That rate means you need a very high vaccination rate to prevent outbreaks. It is possible, but not with current levels of institutional distrust.
