I have a dim memory of a precedent for this…..During the oil crisis in the 70s some local businesses listed a base price and then a second price that showed the cost of oil….it communicated clearly to consumers what was responsible for the increased price.

On a personal level, I've already made this transition. When I look for leadership, I immediately look to see what Pritzker, Walz, Beshear, Wu, Mamdani, etc., are saying before anyone in Congress. More Democrats should do the same until Schumer and Jeffries are gone.
